How I’m Prepping for My 3-Day Event (300 Women, Starts Tomorrow)

Tomorrow, I will step into the room with 300 women for a 3-day transformational experience… Back on stage in Santa Cruz, California – just 2 blocks from one of my favorite beaches.

Over the last few years, when Covid hit – I had to take most of my events online – and for those of us who were leading big events before the Pandemic – we know it’s not the same now, as it was.

But – it’s still amazing to get together in person – and I can feel my community is ready for it.

If you’re coming, I cannot wait to have you – whether it’s on zoom or in the room! You may already feel the next level of your high ticket transformation & offer being birthed – and I can promise you my team & I are doing everything we can to make this experience a game changer for you.

And the truth about my 12 years of leading dozens of events… I’ve learned a lot the hard way, LOL

I’ve stumbled. I’ve overprepared in the wrong ways. I’ve had moments on stage where things didn’t land the way I expected—both literally and figuratively 😄

And over time, I’ve learned that leading a powerful workshop isn’t about being perfect… It’s about knowing what actually creates transformation.

So if you feel called to lead your own workshops, retreats, or events one day – or if you already are & you’re ready to take them to the next level – here are a few of the biggest things I focus on when I’m prepping:

1. I focus deeply on the context of the room

More than slides. More than content.

I spend time asking:

  • Who do these women need to become over these 3 days?
  • What beliefs are ready to shift?
  • What are my participants ready to step into?

I don’t think about my people as an audience – I consider them as participants, powerful wise intuitive souls, and my job is to be a humble guide, ready to serve.

From there, I shape the experience so it feels like:

Growth is expected, breakthroughs are welcome, and playing small just doesn’t quite fit anymore

When the context is set well, everything I share lands in a much deeper way.

2. I design for participation – not just delivery

I used to think the value was in how much I could teach.

Now I know it’s in how much people actually experience while they’re there.

So I’m always thinking: How are they engaging with this?

That looks like:

  • Breakout conversations with clear prompts
  • Reflection moments
  • Live coaching
  • Ongoing interaction in the chat or room

We’re facilitating an actual transformation – that’s where the real shifts happen.

Creating true connections in live events is so different from watching a pre-recorded video or brainstorming with AI. To bring people together, we become entrained to what’s truly possible, as a sisterhood. And that’s where timeline hopping is possible.

3. I get really clear on how I guide each moment

Especially when it comes to exercises.

I’ve learned that small details matter when we’re giving instructions.

So instead of keeping things general, I’ll map out:

  • Exactly how I’ll introduce it
  • What I’ll ask my participants to focus on
  • How long they’ll have
  • What they’re walking away with

Even something like saying:

“Take 3 minutes and write down what your life looks like 12 months from now if this works – be specific.”

…can make a big difference in how deeply someone engages.

Clarity helps people relax into the experience.

4. I take time to connect the dots from stage

Not everyone will automatically see how something applies to their life or business.

So it’s important that as facilitators – we say it & point to it.

I’ll share things like:

  • “Here’s how this shows up in your business…”
  • “This might be why you’ve been feeling stuck…”
  • “This is where this can really change things for you…”

Those moments help people take what they’re learning and actually feel its relevance.

5. I do the work ahead of time to walk in fully committed

I aim to take amazing care of myself ahead of time, so that I can fully give myself over to the experience when it’s time to serve.

My team & I are always ready to deliver the retreat at least 48 hours ahead of time.
That way, I can rest & be emotionally & energetically prepared.

Being ready with the content is great, but what’s even more important is that we, as facilitators, have the energy to stay truly present when things get vulnerable, and be resourced enough to let spirit guide people – through us – to places we wouldn’t be able to go by ourselves.

Preparing the content sets a foundation – but making the space for spirit to come in allows for the transformation.

And if you feel that nudge to lead retreats or events, or grow the ones you’re already leading – trust yourself & your calling.

The ultimate healing happens IN relationship – not just in content delivery. When you intentionally open up a space for like minded souls & create that safety + belonging – we open doors for people to also understand the value of what we offer ongoingly.

I believe – you’re more ready than you think 💛

There’s a gift that only you can give.
