Imagine waking up as the best version of yourself, leading your community with confidence and heart, knowing you’re changing lives while living the life you’ve always dreamed of. Let’s make that vision a reality.

Why Community Matters More Than Ever

AI is taking over so many parts of our world. It’s amazing what technology can do, but there’s one thing it can’t replace—that human touch. Building a community is about creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and connected.

Here’s where you come in: AI can’t curate a group of like-minded people, coach them through challenges, or hold a container of love and support. You are strong enough to make a difference in ways technology can’t. (At least not yet.) Your unique capabilities as a leader and mentor are exactly what your community needs to thrive. Remember, the human heart and spirit are irreplaceable—and that’s your superpower.

As a community leader, you have the power to guide people through their transformations while creating an environment that feels safe and empowering. And right now, in this era of rapid change, transformational mentors like you are needed more than ever.

Community Starts with “Common Unity”

Did you know the word “community” literally means “common unity”? At its core, a community is a group of people navigating similar challenges and striving for similar goals. Your job as a leader is to bring these people together and create a space where they can thrive.

One way to foster unity is by uniting against a common enemy. For example:

  • If you’re a weight-loss coach, your community might rally against the processed food industry.
  • If you’re a relationship coach, you could unite people against the rising divorce rates.

When people feel like they’re part of a movement or a cause, they’re more likely to stick around and support each other.

Brené Brown said it best: belonging is one of the biggest drivers of human behavior. So, let’s create spaces where people feel like they truly belong.

As a leader, you deserve to wake up every day as the best version of yourself, knowing you’re creating a space where people feel seen and empowered. This isn’t just about building a community—it’s about creating a life and business you’re proud of while making a real impact in the world…and creating a profitable business that sustains you in the process.

The COMMUNITY Framework

Over the years, I’ve developed a framework to help people build thriving communities. It’s called the COMMUNITY framework, and it breaks down like this:

C – Commonality

Your community should have a shared challenge or goal. Whether it’s weight loss, career growth, or spiritual awakening, that common thread is what brings people together.

O – Ownership

When people feel like they “own” their spot in the community, they’re more invested. Encourage your members to share their stories, ask questions, and be an active part of the group.

M – Momentum

Give your community a sense of forward movement. Create a structure or roadmap so people know where they are in their journey. When members can see their progress, they’ll stay motivated.

M – Mentorship

You’re the leader of the pack, and your mentorship is what guides the community forward. Be there for your people, but don’t try to do it all yourself. Find that sweet spot where you’re leading without micromanaging.

U – Unification

What values does your community share? What’s the mission? When you define these things clearly, it strengthens the bonds between members and gives everyone a sense of purpose.

N – Nurture

People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Check in with your community regularly, share valuable content, and be there to support them when things get tough.

I – Inclusion

Make sure everyone feels welcome. Set clear rules against negativity, gossip, and cliques. When people feel safe and included, they’ll want to stick around.

T – Trust

Trust is everything. Be real with your community—share your own journey and let them see the human side of you. The more vulnerable you are, while also maintaining your professionalism, the more your members will follow suit, creating deeper connections.

Y – Yes

Say “yes” to showing up, leading, and growing alongside your community. When you evolve, your community evolves with you.

Real Stories, Real Results

When you build a strong community, it becomes something truly special. People form connections, friendships, and support systems that keep them coming back. Here are a few examples of what’s possible, from a few of my awesome clients:

  • Ashana and Dana of Clarity Breathwork grew their community to nearly 4,000 breathworkers.
  • Robin Nielsen expanded her Hormone Balance Sisterhood to over 19,000 women.
  • Susan Pierce Thompson built her Bright Line Eating community to an incredible 167,000 members.

These women started where you are now, and they’ve built thriving communities that change lives. If they can do it, so can you!

Next Steps

Your ability to build a community can be one of the most money-making and meaningful skills you can have. And in today’s increasingly isolated world, building that sense of connection is your superpower to get people to want to work with you.
