Business Lessons Learned from Moving

I just moved! ✨

Today I’m sharing some of the highlights of my big move…and some valuable business lessons I learned in the process.

First, I’ll show you how we prepared for the move.

I’m an organized packer (sometimes a little bit too organized).
My fiance Drew can just… throw stuff into a bin and wrap it with duct tape.
Our dog Hanu has a gift for taking a large piece of paper and turning it into many, many smaller pieces of paper so we have more packing materials.

I created a moving spreadsheet. It took me several hours to create, and it contained all the details about all the furniture and where everything is going. 

Then my trusted movers showed up and suggested a new idea.

Day 1: We pack everything up.
Day 2: We bring TWO trucks and FOUR movers to move everything.

The added support made our challenging move so much smoother and more efficient. 

So here’s my question to you as we dive into the 3 lessons:

Where can you bring in another truck? 

(Where can you bring in more support in your business?)

#1. Keep It Simple

Think about where you can simplify things in your business.
Consider where you can let a professional handle it.
Don’t try to do it all at once.
Find a mentor you trust to help you on this journey. 

When you keep it simple, you can get in your groove and stay focused… so you can scale your business. 

So always remember K-I-S-S (keep it simple, sister.)

#2. Ask for Support Before You Need It

Do you ever tell yourself, “I’ll just figure it out on my own?”

I lovingly invite you to challenge the mindset that says, “Do it all at once and do it all alone.”

Ask for support as you’re growing your business.
Find mentorship from others who have built successful businesses.
Get to the front side of feeling resourced on your entrepreneurial journey.

Start by asking yourself what is the next important thing in your business… and get the support to take it all the way.

Plus, when you ask for support, remember to also show up and be someone who is supportive. It’s an energy that flows both ways!

#3. Cultivate Your Superpower 

You have a gift that this planet needs right now.
…and no one can express your superpower fully in the way that you can. 

The world is waiting for gifted practitioners. 2023 is slated to become one of the most fruitful environments for personal development businesses.

People are waking up.
People are hungry for transformation.
People looking for the exact gift YOU have to offer.

So unleash your superpower to those who need it. 

Your clients are waiting for YOU.
YOU are the one who is meant to help transform their lives.
