Hey sister ❤️
I just had one of those “stop and take it in” moments.
Our Women Rocking Business Sisterhood Facebook group just crossed 73,000 members. Seventy-three thousand purpose-driven women entrepreneurs… all walking the path to making great money & a big difference.
If you’ve been a contributing member I want to say, Thank You.
You are an inspiration. You and the way you support each other – brings love & light into my heart every day.
And, If you would’ve told me this was possible when I was just starting out – still figuring out how to talk about what I did, wondering if anyone would even listen – I probably would’ve laughed (and maybe cried, tbh).
I’d see other women who looked so polished… their photos were perfectly lit, their brands dialed in, their voices confident and clear.
Meanwhile, I was building my business from a hand-me-down RV. Heating my tea on a camp stove. Comparing myself to women who seemed to have all the connections – wondering if I’d ever be “ready” to lead anything.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re not polished enough, connected enough, or “far along” enough to lead a community or start a movement…
I’m going to be blunt here Sis, you are wrong in thinking those insecurities will determine the fate of your leadership.
You are worthy. Right now. As you are.
When I saw the notification that we had just hit 73,000 members, I realized this is a repeatable framework that you can learn.
And, you can…
Start messy.
Show up imperfect.
Choose connection over performance.
And trust that the women who need your voice? They’re already looking for you.
We’re living in a wild time.
Technology is evolving faster than ever – and AI is making it easier to automate everything from emails to sales pages.
And yet… what I’m seeing is this:
People are craving real connection more than ever.
The women in our Sisterhood aren’t just showing up for strategies. They’re showing up for each other. For community. For that deep-down knowing that they’re not alone on this path.
The reason groups can be so much more powerful than other social media platforms for some of us – is that you create a 3-way communication, it’s not just between you & your “fans” – instead, it’s true intimacy.
You < — > Your Community < — > Your Community with Each Other
Check out my video I did on Engagement & Gamification – it’s pretty hot and I hope it inspires you to get out there & gather like minded souls!
Again… If you’ve ever wondered whether the world really needs another Facebook group – I can tell you this:
We don’t need more noise.
We need more realness.
And your community – led with love – might be exactly what someone’s praying for.
Don’t wait until it’s “perfect.” Your group is meant to grow with you.
Start with a name for your group.
A name that reflects your mission – always edify your clients, in a group name. Don’t point to the problem here. Nobody wants to be a part of a group called stressed out moms. But, so many people want to be a part of a group called: Moms on Mission. Make sense?
You’ll also need a warm welcome message or video to greet new members
At first, I was the only one posting. And that was enough.
I batch-scheduled when I could, recycled old content when I felt tired, and brought on a community manager later. Your rhythm is allowed to be human.
Facebook loves group engagement – and shows your posts to more people than on business pages.
An engagement post is different from a relational post. It elicits a short & fun response that people feel lifted by posting.
Examples posts that have rocked for us (Feel Free to tweak these & make them your own!)
Then, you’ll start to see that women lift each other up in the comments, new friendships (and biz collabs!) are born… and trust is built – which leads to sales, referrals, visibility, and growth
If you stay rooted in service and lead with love, your group can become the heart of your entire business.
Sis, I didn’t feel ready to lead, but I showed up anyway.
And what happened wasn’t “success” in the traditional sense – it was women saying yes to themselves. Yes to their message. Yes to a community that saw them.
That’s what you get to create too. Not someday. Not after your brand shoot. But now.
