Welcome to the Women Rocking Business podcast, because there’s never been a better time to be a woman entrepreneur. I’m Sage Lavine, and I am here to call you forth to rock your business, sister. Let’s dive in.

Hello, everyone. Welcome, welcome, welcome, to the session and Training on top body hacks for women Leaders. I couldn’t be more thrilled and excited to be here with Dave Asprey, who’s a dear friend and colleague, and even a mentor of mine. For those of you that aren’t as familiar, he is the founder of Bulletproof and Bulletproof Coffee, and he’s been sharing his unique point of view and expertise for over a decade to help his fans become the best versions of themselves.

From living longer to getting smarter, maximizing performance, to practicing mindfulness Dave’s followers, look to him for his take on the most effective techniques to become healthier and more powerful than most doctors think is possible.

Dave, I want to talk to you about your new book Fast This Way, but I also want to hear from you, like, what are some of the top hacks? You might not know this, Dave, but you changed my life. Like I’m going to start crying. I have so many hacks that I use on a daily basis because of who you’ve been to me and the advice you’ve given me. You told me to track my sleep. I now wear my aura ring. I’m sleeping better than ever.

Sage Lavine

00:01:24

You told me to buy a little compression pack of gear I can put on when I fly. Now when I get off the plane, I feel like a million bucks. Yeah. You taught me about intermittent fasting. Like I think about you on a weekly basis. When I treat myself like a performance athlete rather than a punching bag, and I’m going to get choked up just because you’re a man in my world and you know, as one of my colleagues who just stands for so much self love and self care, like how did you come to be doing this?

Dave Asprey

00:01:59

I was a 300 pound computer hacker, Sage, in Silicon Valley. You know, especially back in the day, it was a very masculine, very kind of hyper competitive world. But it’s one that drains you and everyone burns themselves out. I started my blog and the very early days it was called the Bulletproof Executive, and since day one, half of the audience has always been women and half men. I built the brand, I built all of this stuff because it’s for people, it’s for humans, right? And there’s also a secret too. Women are much better biohackers than men.

Dave Asprey

00:02:38

Not being a woman, I’m not sure why, but I’m married to a medical doctor and we’ve talked about it. It’s probably because women have a better sense of what’s going on in their body because it changes regularly. Guys were like, “Unless it hurts a lot below the neck, I really don’t have to deal with it.” So we tend to hit the wall pretty hard. ne of the things that inspired me for all of this, my very first book was a fertility book, before the Bulletproof Diet came out. It’s because like, if you get a good start from your grandmother and your mother, you have an unfair advantage in life and you don’t really get to pick that now.

Dave Asprey

00:03:19

So what if we could do things to make our parents, both women and men healthier. So the next generation and the one beyond could be healthy. That was the very first book. And then I’m like, you know what? Healthier people, high-performance people have working reproductive systems. So a lot of the Bulletproof stuff came from the world of anti-aging and the world of fertility. I’m really happy to say that my wife, Lana and I…she was infertile when I met her. And through this kind of biohacking, we had two kids, one at 39, one at 42 with no IVF or other medical intervention. So we restored fertility and there’s a sacred thing that happens when you have a child.

Dave Asprey

00:04:03

I just feel like that doesn’t get enough conversation. It’s one of the reasons I included a separate chapter for women on fasting because women and men aren’t the same and we’ve got to acknowledge that.

Sage Lavine

00:04:15

It’s a hundred percent true. I’m so impressed with gosh, going from a 300 pound, you know, tech hacker to a gorgeous, beautiful man that you now see in front of us. I’m. For those of you on the podcast, you’ll be able to see Dave’s picture in the show notes. How did you make that transformation? And you know, why is it so important for us to learn biohacking? Can you define biohacking briefly for anybody that doesn’t know that term?

Dave Asprey

00:04:45

Biohacking is the term, it’s a new word in English language. And my name’s in the Miriam Webster’s dictionary now, which is the most unlikely thing ever, other than me having my shirt off in a men’s magazine, which happened to me once. I’m like, “There’s my stretch marks, just don’t look closely.”

The definition is the art and science of changing the environment around you and inside of you so that you have full control of your own biology. Full control means different things. You might say, look, “I want to be like a dialed in entrepreneur, or I want to be super heart-centered centered, or I want to get swole,” right? It could be anything. Just that desire for our bodies and our minds to do what we want instead of what they do without our permission, that unites everyone, because we all want that. Whether we’re an entrepreneur or some entirely different type of human.

Sage Lavine

00:05:34

I could not agree more. I think that’s been the big shift for me as my business has grown, as I’ve gotten more committed to living my best life, both my personal life and living my best contribution on the planet through Women Rocking Business. It’s like, I’ve got to treat myself differently and I’ve got to learn new hacks. That’s been something that you’ve been such a mentor to me in. You know, I’d love to start a mindset piece. I mean, I’m going to flash this picture again, for those of you on the podcast, you can grab this picture of the show notes, but here’s Dave and I, frolocking around Burning Man, I got to hang out with him and his wife all week and have the time of our lives wearing lace and fur and dancing through the desert. You know, hanging out with some of the coolest people on the planet.

Sage Lavine

00:06:16

That all came from us, setting up a life that allows us to do what we want and go where we want to with who we want to go with.I don’t know if you know this, like the full details of the staff, but that week we were at burning man together,  I was there with somebody that I was dating and he and I were having some major personal turmoil. He actually went off with another woman in the middle of Burning Man. That same day you looked at me and said, if you can bring him in to your meditation and actually work on forgiving him, you can receive up to, I can’t remember. It was like 20 or 30 times the benefit of regular meditation.

Sage Lavine

00:06:56

Do you remember that? Would you explain that to our listeners? Because I think we tend to hang on to the baggage. If you hadn’t said that to me and helped me really understand that piece around meditation and forgiveness, I would have suffered out there in the middle of the desert, but instead I forgave him and I went on to have like the most amazing week ever. So tell us a little bit about that.

Dave Asprey

00:07:23

Well, forgiveness is a thing that’s not well understood. Most of the time, you say you have to forgive the guy who wronged you and like most people tell you to go F yourself if you say that, right? So kudos to you for being willing to hear that because forgiveness isn’t about telling someone you forgive them. Forgiveness is about you stopping using your energy thinking bad thoughts about the other person. When you do that, it frees up a lot of thoughts. When I say frees up thoughts, there’s this algorithm for life, everything alive does these things, and it’s going to tie directly to forgiveness in a second, so bear with me. The first thing that everything, we’re talking bacteria, a cactus, a zebra, and a human. This is single cell bacterial stuff where consciousness emerges in us.

Dave Asprey

00:08:10

The first thing you do, if something is about to kill you, or it feels like it’s going to kill you like a breakup, then that gets 10 times more energy than it really deserves, right? So the first word is “fear” and it will take all of your energy, right? And the second F word is “food” because all life has to eat and feminist killed lots of us. This is why, you know, the cookie has the siren’s call. You’re like, “Oh my God, like it keeps asking me to eat.” It it’s cause your cells or telling you eat the cookies, not you want eat the cookie. It’s actually an automated system to keep all life alive. And it gets five times more energy than it should. The third F word that all life has to do to stay on the planet. You know what that one is, Sage?

Sage Lavine

00:08:52

Is it the F word?

Dave Asprey

00:08:57

You mean fertility?

Sage Lavine

Exactly, that is what I was thinking!

Dave Asprey

00:09:05

It might have been the word I tried to trick you into saying.

All life has to do that and it gets three times more energy than it deserves, right? So if this is the thing that bacteria do great, there’s a fourth effort that is fundamental, and it’s “friend.” All life is wired to support other lives. So we are wired in ourselves to be kind to each other, but not when we’re afraid, not when we’re hungry, and not when we are not experiencing love in our life. Right? So this is why it feels good to give back, because why it feels good for you to support all the women who you support because your body wants you to do that. Forgiveness is something that happens when you drop energy that you spend on the first and most powerful F word, fear.

Dave Asprey

00:09:48

So underneath all of the anger and all of that stuff, there’s always fear. And I know this because I run a neuroscience company called 40 Years of Zen, where we give people these brain upgrades. The first three days of a five day program in Seattle with neuroscientists and electrodes and all sorts of, you know, technical, personal development stuff. It’s all you do is you sit there and go, “Oh my God, I can’t believe I’m still mad at little Johnny from, you know, fifth grade who broke my heart and whatever. These aren’t conscious, rational things. These are the feelings. But because these patterns are set up in us, we respond to the world in that way. And all of us have the same thing for food. Like food is tied to love. Food is tied to fear, right? So one of the most powerful things that you can do is you can turn off the hunger voice in your head.

Dave Asprey

00:10:33

I found a study in Fast This Way. 15% of the thoughts the average person has every day are about what’s for their next meal. Okay? If you’re not hungry, you have 15% more capacity to do whatever you want to do with your time and your energy. If you are not holding onto a grudge against, or the guy who clearly acted out of integrity, right? But you’re not holding a grudge anymore. You’re not saying what he did was right. You just let it go energetically. All of the thoughts and energy that went into that, you don’t waste them anymore and they become yours again. And in your case at Burning Man you use them to actually go out and have a, you know, a fun, spiritual, playful, amazing time.

Dave Asprey

00:11:14

But if you would’ve been stuck in hunger and fear, you wouldn’t have, and forgiveness is how you get rid of fear. Fasting is how you get rid of hunger? You teach yourself, “Oh, that was a craving that wasn’t hunger.” So I wrote a fascinating book. It’s not hard to write a fascinating book. There’s plenty. Step one. Don’t eat for a while. Step two. Here’s a bunch of research that says is good for you. Done That’s not what this book is. This is, I fasted in a cave for four days, Sage, because I realized I was afraid of being alone and I was afraid of being hungry. I hired a shaman to drop me in the desert, no food and no humans for 10 miles in any direction. I tell that story and, we talked about the biology, but we talked about the psychology and how to make fasting so it isn’t a suffering like self-flagellation thing.

It’s about how to biologically turn off hunger and cravings so that you can be focused and energetic while you’re getting health benefits from fasting. And you don’t over fast because women tend to fast, they hit the wall at the fasting way before men. And like, “I feel so good. I’m never eating again.” Like, no, let’s not go there.

Sage Lavine

00:12:20

It’s so important. You and I connected about this last time we talked because I’ve done vision quests where I fast for four days. You know, I’d go back to those moments. When I think about the discipline it takes to be a high performer and run a company and make the hard decisions that we make as we get out in the world. You know, the fact that you have studied with your own body and you continue to study it with your own body and hook yourself up to electrodes and, you know, share everything that you’re learning with your students is so compelling to me because that’s what we’re all here to do – to learn and share. And you know, when you told me about that forgiveness process and the desert, I brought him into my meditation that morning and I had to cry my eyes out, but I stayed with it and I wouldn’t let myself get on my bicycle and ride across the desert until I felt some level of peace in my body.

Sage Lavine

00:13:12

I brought him right there. I brought his face right in front of me and I waited until I could feel some peace and some loving kindness toward both of us in our circumstance and the situation that we’re both human. You told me that you’ve hooked people up to electrodes, and when we can bring forgiveness into our meditation like that, it’s literally up to 30 times more beneficial to the body, if I’m remembering correctly. That was mind blowing to me because I know meditation is beneficial, but when I think about 30x a normal meditation, I’m thinking to myself, everybody needs to know this. This is a major hack for freedom.

Dave Asprey

00:13:53

It is. The harder of forgiveness is, the more angry  you are at someone, the more benefits you get when you forgive them. The trick to forgiveness that is missing from the world of personal development, and it’s something that we measure, and we absolutely build into the neuroscience program that I do. It’s that in order to forgive, you have to first feel gratitude. As entrepreneurs, we get punched in the gut all the time, right? You know, people say the bad stuff about you, about your company, about your intentions and all of that stuff, you know,. They treat you unfairly. And what you do then is you sit down, “kay, what’s one good thing that came about.” It can be the tiniest little thing.

Dave Asprey

00:14:35

But if you don’t have just a spark of gratitude, you can’t get the fire of forgiveness. It’s gratitude first. I don’t care if you’re saying I’m going to forgive World War II. Like what’s one good thing that came out of World War II. I’m sure there’s one, you know, maybe a child was born somewhere who wouldn’t have been otherwise there that you found something good, right? Millions of people died in the war, but one good thing. It doesn’t matter how small it is. Right. I will tell you right now, find something good that came out of the coronavirus. So then you can stop being afraid and all of that, like forgive all the whatever’s going on out there. This is what lets you be free as an entrepreneur to pursue what matters because that 10x F word, fear, it will take you out of it.

And when we talk about food and fear together, it’s okay, this one’s 10 X, this one’s five X. You know, they multiply. That’s like 50 times more attention on stuff than you need. That sucks your entrepreneurial energy. It sucks what I’m going to call the divine feminine, which is a great energy to be in to run a company. It sucks everything from your life. So you just, you can’t allow yourself to do that. If you want to show up the way you’re capable of.

Sage Lavine

00:15:44

Wow. This is so cool. I love this discussion. I want to just take a pause and share something I know you guys might want to know about. But what I’ve seen is that when we learn to build businesses that align with our innate values of collaboration, rather than competition empowerment, rather than power over.

When we build businesses based in generosity, rather than using scarcity and manipulative selling tactics, I see women thrive as successful CEOs and in our community, we see 80% of succeed rather than 80% of women’s businesses failing. So that’s why we have this special promo happening right now. When you buy the book, you’ll get immediate access to our full training course. That’s four video modules on how to make money with your message. You’ll get our entire system to really get going. Sage Lavine

00:17:30

Thank you for being a man who’s confident saying the divine feminine, right?

Dave Asprey

I use the divine feminine in my businesses all the time. It’s not like men can have the divine feminine in them too.

Sage Lavine

00:17:35

Right? I have a divine masculine and just thank you for being a man who, you know, is so comfortable, you know, really naming and claiming this because this is the way like we can’t meditate and then go eat, you know what the point of wanting to throw up and then expect that a little more meditation is going to make us feel better, right? It’s like these pieces go together and learning about fasting and learning about intermittent fasting has also been for me like a game changer, right? Because I’m somebody who soothes with food. So can you get into like, can you give us a couple of like snippets from the book?

I can’t wait to get my hands on this book. Give us a couple of snippets of just like why does fasting matter and why, you know, like you could write a book, you could write a best-selling book about pretty much anything you wanted to, Dave, like you’ve got the platform, you’ve got the exposure, you’ve got the team, you’ve got the resources and you chose to help the world by sharing a little bit about fasting. Like how come?

Dave Asprey

00:18:38

Well, fasting is probably the worst topic to write about because telling people don’t eat when they put five times more energy on eating than is necessary. So if I was targeting the bestseller thing, I probably should have written about here’s what to eat more of. So just to say that there’s a little bit of a risk in this, but the reason fasting is so powerful is it makes your cells younger and it makes them have more energy. This isn’t, you know, really some of this intuitive, like how could eating less give me more energy. I’m not telling you to eat less. I’m telling you to not eat for periods of time, the rest of the time you eat and you eat normally. Part of the reason that works is just straight up biological.

Dave Asprey

00:19:18

When your cells have more energy, that means they can make more electrons. You eat 30 pounds of air and some amount of food every day, you mix them up and you get electrons like the same ones on your iPhone, right? They go into your thoughts, your willpower is going to your heart. They go into love. They go into hate. They go into breathing. Everything you do in the world is powered by electricity. If you have less electricity available, ‘cause your cells suck at making it because you eat all the time or because you ate the wrong stuff, is it any wonder that is harder to regulate your emotions is harder not to yell at your team, it’s harder to interact with your family after you’ve had like a really, really long day? So that’s why fasting matters because it gives you raw energy and then it gives you willpower, but you don’t have to use willpower to fast.

Dave Asprey

00:20:01

You are using your willpower in building your business. So can you fast without pain? And I put three fasting hacks on the book that work exceptionally well. Surprisingly, they work even better for women than from that. That’s the sort of thing where it look, there’s a spiritual fast and I’m putting the people who order the book. I’m doing a two week training where I’m going to teach the book. So I was a teacher for five years at the University of California and I realized I do all this work throughout the textbook, but I never explain it. So during this two weeks, I’m teaching people how to fast, how to start. But on the last two days, we’re doing the spiritual fast with gratitude and forgiveness and all the things that do when you’re going to sit down and say, I’m going to feel the pain I’m going to work on it.

Dave Asprey

00:20:43

But the rest of the time you’re working on your business and your life and you don’t want to be, “Oh my God, I’m so hungry” because then you were distracted. So we can turn off the hunger. That’s simple biohacking, but it’s then choosing to feel it and work on it when you want to, instead of trying to force that on top of your already busy day.

Sage Lavine

00:20:59

Awesome. I could not agree more. I’ve experienced all of those things and just the process of, you know, taking your advice and, you know, waiting until noon to eat so that my body can catch up with me. Can you give us some morsel right now in terms of like, how do we get started? And then I’m going to highly recommend you guys head over to Dave website, which is www.fastthisway.com. And again, we’ll put that in the comments and we’ll put that in the show notes, definitely go head over there and jump into his two week training that accompanies the book because I’m going to be doing it. And my team’s going to be doing it. It’s going to be an incredible opportunity.

Dave Asprey

00:21:44

It’s free. When you buy the book, like I’m not trying to upsell you on stuff. Literally. I just want to share the thousands of hours of underwriting this book with people who care.

Sage Lavine

00:21:55

Absolutely. I can’t wait to do this with you.

Dave Asprey

00:21:56

Thank you. So a couple of the things…Women, usually within four weeks, you’re going to start out and the first couple of intermittent fasts where, you just don’t have breakfast, right? It’s not that hard to do. You know, like “I skipped breakfast. I hadn’t maybe a late lunch, like, Oh, look at me. I had a dinner. And then I went a few hours without having a snack. And then I slept. And then if you are there you go. I just went 16 hours or 18 hours without eating. But it wasn’t that big of a deal.” Except it might be a big deal. When I was heavy, when my bowel didn’t work right. That whole morning, I’d be like, “Oh my God, like I can eat one of my colleagues was that anyone noticing” like, you know, it’s really intense hunger.  just made a cannibal joke on your show, The issue though is that we have to get past that hunger.

Dave Asprey

00:22:46

With women, once you do it, you’re like, this is liberating. I feel so good. I’m going to do it every day. Right? Then I’m going to do it even more. So I’ll just have dinner every day. What tends to happen is with it at the end of the month. And I’ve seen that as my first book, that included fasting was in 2014. So I’ve had years of talking with men and women about this. And what happens to them is like, “Dave, I don’t sleep as well as I did for my aura ring scores, going down like something isn’t quite right.” I’m like, you need to eat some carbs or you don’t need the fast as much like that. You shouldn’t be keto all the time. You shouldn’t be fasting all the time, but if they don’t talk to me, then like, “Oh, now my hormones, I know that I’m pretty regular, but now my cycle’s off. What’s going on here and then wait a minute. No, I don’t sleep well, my cycle’s off. I have this kind of like, like low grade physical anxiety. And now my hair is getting thin”

Look, you need to eat. Right? So fasting isn’t about starvation. It’s about brief periods. And so I find that for many women, especially 40 plus, intermittent fasting every other day is a really good strategy. You don’t have to do it every day and you don’t have to be one of these, you know, fasting bros. Like “I went 14 days without food, and now I’m going to go lift.” It’s absurd and it’s not good for men and it’s not good for women, especially because there are also times of the month when your body is working really hard on rebuilding uterine linings, if you’re still in your fertile years, right?

Dave Asprey

00:24:15

You might not want to be fasting on days when you have enough physical stress, right? This is something that’s missing from a lot of the world of fasting in part is because a lot of the studies done are done on freshmen in college. Freshmen in college were pretty much white dudes for the vast majority of history. Now there’s more women than men in college, but the studies are, you know, just happening, because this is a very recent occurrence in history. So we have about three quarters of data is on men and about one quarter is on women. In chapter one, I’m like, here’s what we know about women. We know that if you want to have enough energy and not be stressed, especially when you’re starting, there’s three hacks that worked for everyone, but I think they work better for women.

Dave Asprey

00:24:58

Here’s the hacks. The first one is you don’t have to be a mouse when you fast. A lot of the mouse studies are done on water only. So you get people go, you should only have water when your fasting, how about this? Be kind to yourself and you have a business to run and a family to run most likely. So mice don’t have the espresso machines. So if you have black coffee in the morning, it doubles the production of ketones, which are these fat burning bodies. This is a good thing because if you can get your ketones up a little bit, much less than the full on keto bro kind of thing, that turns off a hormone called ghrelin, which is the hunger and craving hormone. It turns on a hormone called CCK, which is sponsored by Calvin Klein, even though its name is called the system.

Dave Asprey

00:25:46

And that hormone is the way that makes you feel full. So black coffee can help you feel full. Then the next fasting hack on top of that is one I’m very well known for. And I’m not trying to sell more Bulletproof coffee, but I will tell you, if you take a little bit of grass fed butter and a little bit of MCT oil and you blend it into your coffee, your energy levels go up very substantially, but you’re still getting the benefits of a fast. Now you’re like, “My brain is lit. I feel awesome. I can do what I’m here to do, but my body’s still cleaning itself up.” You just don’t eat any sugar or any carbs or any protein? You’re just having coffee and a little bit of fat. Fat is special if it’s the right kind of fat. By the way, Bulletproof coffee suppresses hunger in a very noticeable way.

Sage Lavine

00:26:29

I love Bulletproof coffee by the way.

Dave Asprey

00:26:31

Thank you. I’m not here to sell Bulletproof Coffee.

There’s reasons for doing this that are biological. The next one is prebiotic fiber. This is a special kind of fiber that your body cannot digest, but your gut bacteria love. When they digest it, they turn it into something called butyric acid that is actually ketogenic. So during this fast, you can say, I’m taking my cup of coffee. I’m adding some prebiotic fiber that has no flavor. I’m adding a little bit of butter and some MCT oil, and I’m blending it up for a little while. Then I drink it andnd I don’t even think about food. Someone sets like donuts and pastries in front of me. And instead of them yelling at me, “Eat me.” And you’re like, “no.” “Eat me.” “No.” You have this inner argument like you do with a two year old and eventually I’ll just eat half a pastry.

Dave Asprey

00:27:21

Then you were like, why did I do that? Well, you can stop all that because when they’re there, you’re like, I’m just actually not hungry. I don’t want one. Then there’s no conversation and all those thoughts about what’s for lunch, they’re gone and you show up better in your day. If you do that with intermittent fasting as a woman, it actually works better for a lot of women. You may get to the point, in fact, you probably will, where you are like, I just don’t need it. I’ll do black coffee sometimes. But if you’re stressed, if you didn’t sleep that last night and you still choose the fast and by fasting, I mean, skipping breakfast, I don’t mean the longer fast. Then you do that. You know, like, “Okay, I’ve got this.” So fasting shouldn’t be suffering unless you’re like, I’m going to go to the spiritual thing and it doesn’t have to be suffering.

Dave Asprey

But then it’s an awareness practice you get to choose. Iin all the fasting books out there, it’s like, you just have to like decide to do it. It’s so good for yo, you’ll do it. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in, you know, 10 years of, of a nutrition company, it’s that people won’t do stuff that’s unpleasant for long periods of time. That includes eating kale. Kale is gross. The interest in kale is declining because, well, it’s actually got toxins in it that I’ve written about for 10 years, but more importantly, it just tastes bad unless you soak it in sugar or bacon, kale is going to die. I’m just going to tell you.

I make the best kale salad ever. I get kale from the local farmer’s market, but I agree with you about everything else. I just want to say thank you for being brave enough to write a book about fasting. Thank you for being assertive enough to claim that there’s more energy available to us than we ever thought possible when we can just step into some of these biohacks thanks for helping us rewrite our relationship with fear and with food and with the F word, which of course is fertility. Dave, just thank you for being you. You always put a smile on my face. I’m going to invite you guys every single one of you to go grab the book and head into this two week incubator with me and my team and a bunch of my friends.

We’re going to be there with Dave learning about how to really up-level our bodies Head over to www.fastthisway.com and Dave’s providing a two week incredible training. This is rare that you do not always get a chance to spend two weeks with Dave, you know, for the cost of a book. You know, this is probably, maybe never going to happen again in history. [Likely] So I can’t wait to be there with you, Dave, it’s going to be a blast. What do you want to leave our listeners with?

Dave Asprey

I’m going to leave your listeners with a piece of advice. People ask me the stuff about being an entrepreneur all the time. This is my favorite piece of advice for women entrepreneurs. Okay? Who washes your socks? Okay. If it’s you, you’re doing it wrong. Okay. That’s my advice. Okay. Get help for the lowest level things in your life, whether they’re in your business or not. Because if someone else can do it, they should be doing it. So you can do your own superpowers as an entrepreneur. You will not grow your company without that. Then you can add more energy and all of the things. But if you give your energy away on things that you are capable of, things that a caregiver does, you can hire caregivers to take care of you and it’s okay to do that. It’s really important.

I’m laughing so hard because my assistant is and the next room holding my socks off and like no kidding, like true story. I tell this to my client’s all the time. Like your job is to be in your zone of genius. If there’s anybody I know that can give you some of the actual lifestyle and personal and nutritional and food-related hacks. It’s Dave Asprey. So go grab his book – www.fastthisway.com. He’s the man. Thank you so much, Dave, for being here, I’m so grateful for your influence on my life. My life is better every single day. because you said yes. You did the work to transform from a 300 pound computer hacker to the man that I get to be friends with today. I love you and I love your wife and take amazing care of yourself. I’m so excited for this book.
