Let’s talk about procrastination.

Sometimes it feels really tempting to avoid the things we know we need to do for our business.

Why?

Because growing a business involves a lot of things that…

  • You don’t know how to do
  • Make you uncomfortable
  • Make you feel like a beginner again

…and it’s human nature to want to feel masterful and comfortable in our day-to-day responsibilities.

So today, sister I’m inviting you to breathe into any feeling of unknown or overwhelm you may be facing and accept that it’s part of the entrepreneurial territory.

Here are my top procrastination hacks, so you can get out there and conquer your week with biz-building action.

Be kind to yourself.

The more ambition you have… the more gentle you need to be with yourself. Infuse more self-love and self-care practices into your day to fuel your mind, body, and spirit with the power to do all the things.

Pace yourself.

Building a life-changing business is not a sprint. It’s a marathon. You don’t need to spend each day painting a masterpiece. Most days, you just need to get a little paint on the canvas. Don’t spin into overwhelm by feeling you need to do it all at once.

Conquer your fears.

Fear is often an underlying driver of avoidance. You may be afraid of…

  • Past failures
  • Responsibility
  • Leaving others behind
  • Feeling unworthy of your success
  • Not being able to deliver

If any of these fears resonate with you, it’s time to face it. Remember that it’s not an accident that you have a one-of-a-kind gift for changing lives, and the world needs your business.

Feel your feelings.

Unfelt feelings and uncried tears will build up in your system. If you’re walking away with too many unprocessed feelings, like anger or rage, you may not have the capacity you need to be the most productive version of yourself. 

Take a break.

If you need a break… 

Take it. Step away for a day to relax on the beach, go for a hike, or fill the day with your favorite things. Relax and refuel, then return ready to show up for your business. 

Add movement to your day.

Dedicating moments in your day for dance, yoga, or martial arts can help you move and reshift your energy… helping you break free from that “I don’t feel like doing the work” feeling.

Find a buddy.
