Hi beautiful,
Your ideal clients — the ones who are literally praying for you right now?
They’re downstream.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re swimming upstream in your business…
pushing, chasing, trying to convince people why they need your gifts…
Take a deep, nourishing breath.
I just returned from five sacred days on the Salmon River in Idaho.
There was no cell service, no schedule, just wild canyon walls, the rush of water, and a lot of space to listen to nature, to my heart, and to what life was trying to show me.
At first, my mind spun out a little bit. I’ll be honest – I sat there on the raft and worried. I worried that my dog was ok, I worried that I hadn’t buttoned my CEO duties up & that my team would suffer –
But as the river carried our boat around each bend, I began to let go.
And like wild nature always does – she began to guide me.
And here’s what came through, loud and clear:
👉 The river already knows where it’s going.
You don’t have to control it. You don’t have to push it.
You just have to learn how to float. How to trust the current.
In business, so many women are taught to grind.
To show up everywhere.
To chase leads.
To “create urgency” and “overcome objections.”
But that’s not how we do things in the feminine model of business.
And honestly? That’s not how you call in the clients who are truly ready.
Because your people?
The ones you’re here to serve in the deepest, most transformational way?
They’re already in motion.
They’re looking for someone who gets them.
They’re talking to their friends about the exact problem you solve.
They’re Googling answers at 2am.
And when you stop trying to force your business upstream — toward people who aren’t ready, don’t value your work, or can’t see the transformation available to them — and instead let your message flow downstream, everything gets easier.
We don’t have to “convince” anyone.
We don’t have to over-explain or discount.
We don’t have to second-guess our value.
It means you meet your people where they already are — emotionally, energetically, and financially.
It means you tune into what they’re actually struggling with and stop trying to sell them what you think they need.
It means you speak to the version of your ideal client who’s ready to say YES, not the one who still needs months of inner work before she can move.
And when you do that?
✨ You attract clients who are empowered decision-makers.
✨ You get to enroll authentically without draining your energy.
✨ You create spaciousness in your calendar… and your life.
Like the river showed me last week, this is how we glide toward service, abundance, and the freedom we started our businesses for.
Here are 3 real-world shifts to help you start speaking downstream right now:
Your ideal client doesn’t say “uplevel your vibrational alignment.”
She says, “I feel stuck.” Or “I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.”
Use her words. When she feels seen, she moves closer.
What’s it costing them to stay stuck? Time? Energy? Money?
That’s what gets her attention. That’s what builds trust.
Solve that — and she’ll see your offer as the gift it truly is.
Don’t dance around it. Ready clients want to be led.
Tell them what you do, how they can work with you, and what to do next.
(And say it with love, not apology.)
Sister – You don’t have to swim harder.
You don’t have to hustle your way to impact.
You just have to trust the current.
And believe that your ideal clients — the ones who are ready now — are already flowing in your direction.
This week, I invite you to choose ease.
Choose clarity.
Choose flow.
Because when you do, business becomes more than just profitable — it becomes joyful.
Let your message ride the river.
And know: we’re here with you every paddle of the way.
Let’s do this thing… together.
💙
With love from the Salmon River canyon,
—Sage
P.S. Want to go even deeper?
Chapter 6 of my book, Women Rocking Business, is all about getting clear on the “expensive” problem you solve so you can meet your clients exactly where they are and build a business that flows.
📖 Pull out your copy (or grab one if you don’t have it yet) and let that chapter be your compass this week.
Because clarity is magnetic. And your message? It’s already making waves.
