S2E8: Women Are Needed Right Now

Hello, women! If you’re feeling a little enraged by what’s happening on the planet, I would love to enter into a more honest conversation with you here through this podcast and through the comments thread around what’s needed on the planet right now, specifically from women, because I don’t know about you, but we look out in the world, we look at what’s happening politically.

We look at what’s happening to women’s bodies. We look at the rights that are still not being granted. And we ask ourselves, “what can we do?”
You know, Martin Luther king said, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.” I want to remind you that it doesn’t bend on its own. I know many of you and many of us are feeling this, and that’s why I want to invite you into an even more succinct invitation for you to step into falling in love with your business, falling in love with your leadership, falling in love with the S word “sales,’ to not let any old programming around offering your services to the world, selling to not let any old programming stop you this week from getting out there to make the difference that you’re being called to make, because you cannot make a difference for your potential clients if you’re stuck in resistance to sales or feeling small or feeling like you’re not worthy or feeling like other people are doing it already better than you.
Just stop. Just stop. I say that with total love and respect, but I think you would agree. I’m guessing if you’re here, you would agree that like we have to stand up and we have to say enough to call upon the warrior part of us to fight for those who are looking for the transformation that you offer. You’re here to serve moms, women, families, children, entrepreneurs, women in mid-life, people in mid-life, people who are wanting to heal their bodies, people with chronic illness.

You’re here to bring a transformation and to not let people off the hook, because you’re afraid to offend them by fighting for them during a selling conversation and enrollment conversation or an offer that you’re making… to not be afraid to fight for them so that you can bend your moral arc toward standing for the person that you know you’re here to serve. Because yes, you’re asking for them to invest in themselves through your services. But what they’re really investing in is their future, their dream. We need all of us. We need all of us experiencing the love, the divine right livelihood, the healthy bodies.

Is this resonating? You have an opportunity. Your passion matters. Your authenticity, your messy way of finding your way through this conversation. So when you’re making an offer, when you’re talking to someone about whether or not your program is a fit, I invite you to stretch a little further into the warrior who’s putting a stake in the ground for the transformation that you know, your potential clients deserve, because that’s the way we as entrepreneurs get to change the world. It’s not the only way, but it’s our way because when people pay, they pay attention and to get out of that battle that goes on in many of our minds, it might be going on in your mind of like, well, how hard do I push? What if they don’t have the money? I don’t want someone to end up as broke because they, you know, hired me, right?

Those are gremlins. We have to get beyond. We have to get beyond that whole thing and realize that if someone’s in a conversation with you about a possible investment, they actually are looking to invest. They’re going to invest somewhere and likely they’re going to invest with whoever fights for them the most. And by fighting, I don’t mean war. I don’t mean going to war. I mean, standing for them with more commitment than the commitment that they have to their own transformation. So for those of you that are taking notes, you have to be more committed to your potential clients’ transformation than they are, right?

When has a mentor ever changed your life? Likely they were showing you something. They were standing for something that you couldn’t fully get on board with yet yourself.
So, women leaders, I urge you to really call upon both your inner feminine and your inner masculine to be willing to hold the tension with love. People don’t care how much, you know, until they know how much you care. You bring this conviction, you bring this commitment. You bring to this conversation a lot of caring. Let your potential clients know how much you care about them, how much you want to see them succeed, why you’re passionate.

I think what’s happening on the planet right now is kicking up a lot of passion for all of us. Anger is passion. It’s a form of passion. Did you know that your anger actually is rooted in… like in Chinese medicine and Eastern medicine, your anger is actually rooted into your energy system in your body, right? Alongside your creativity. So if you suppress your anger, you’re suppressing your creativity. So we actually are inviting you. I’m inviting you right now to become even more expressed, even more on fire, even more committed to not feeling like you have to do it right. But to be brave and willing to look your potential clients in the eye and say, “Look, I know this is scary.

It’s scary for me too, but I would love the opportunity to make a difference for you here. I will go all out with you. I’m going to saddle up right alongside you and we can go for this together because you deserve the healthy body. You deserve to be able to go out there and do your volunteer work.”
Make the difference that you’re here to make, have the love that you need to have to resource yourself so that you can be the light worker, the leader, the passionate woman that you are. We need people living their full embodied selves. We can’t have people half-mast, checked out , unconscious. If we’re going to bend this moral arc toward the justice that we as women and all of you who empathize with women or identify with women’s values.
